FAQs

Q: I don't see the size/shape I need here. Can I get a custom container built ?

A: Absolutely ! Flex creates a large number of custom containers for a large variety of applications, and we can provide a wide variety of colors, shapes, sizes, labels, closures, and custom fulfillment !
Flex containers and tubes can be stock or custom depending on the customers needs. A custom container is defined as anything which would require new tooling to manufacture. Stock tubes and containers are any diameter from our catalog list which can be cut to the customers desired length. Eighteen inch stock tubing is sold by the carton. These cartons cannot be broken. Minimum order is one carton which can be matched to any quantity of closures.

Q:
What kind of packaging can Flex manufacture?

A: Flex manufactures a number of different types of packaging, they are as follows:

Shell - a plain tube with a sealed bottom. These containers can be provided with a plug or in some cases an over-cap. A plug is defined as fitting into the container and so the cap fits over the container.

Hang-up - This is basically the same as the shell, except for two slots punched into the walls or container, so our hand up plug locks into it. Friction fit hang up plugs are also available (no slots in tubes). Hand tabs have single holed or euro/sombrero holes.

Threaded - This container is designed to only accept a plastic or metal screw cap. Metal caps are not manufactured by Flex Products.

Rectangle, Triangle, Square, and Oval shapes available. Heavy wall containers and tubes available.

The bottom seal that makes an open end tube into a container goes into the container 1/8". The plug might also take up room in the tube, therefore reducing the inside useable length, call for dimensions.

The bottom is sealed to the tube using acetone. Acetone is not hazardous. Sonic welding is also available. Leakproofing is available as well.

Minimum order is 1,000 pieces but tube size is taken into consideration as well.

Q:
What kind of lead-time do I need to give for a custom container?

A: Lead time for stock 18" tubes is 5 days. Stock containers are 3 weeks. Printed tubes are 3 weeks after we receive approval on artwork.

Q:
I need you to pack product into the containers I order. Can you do that for me?

A: Flex can package your products safely and securely in the containers we make for you -- and then we can ship it to your final destination, taking all the headache out of the fulfillment process for you !

Q:
Can you give me more detail about your materials, options, safety?

A: Flex uses cellulose propionate, cellulose butyrate, petg, and pvc for all its tubes and containers. Caps and closures may be polyethylene propylene, pet or PVC. Containers nd cluoures may be clear, tinted, or colored. We offer a wide range of standard colors and custom color matching is available. All materials are FDA approved and Flex will help customize in choosing the right material for your products.
